Luncheon & Key Note Speaker | Gil Schafer III

Join us for a fabulously elegant day filled with beautiful table arrangements, a top designer as our key note speaker and a delicious lunch with your closest friends and colleagues. The event features over 60 tables creatively designed by local businesses and individuals in our community. Seeing the tables and listening to Gil Schafer will inspire you to do more with your own beautiful things at home!

Award-winning architect Gil Schafer III is one of the country’s leading experts on contemporary classical architecture. A member of Architectural Digest’s AD 100, a winner of Veranda’s “Art of Design Award,” and a recipient of the Arthur Ross Award for Architecture, he holds a Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture and is the author of the bestselling books The Great American House and A Place to Call Home. He opened his eponymous firm G. P. Schafer Architect in 2002 and renamed the firm Schafer Buccellato & Partners in the fall of 2024.

Gil serves on nonprofit advisory and trustee boards, including Yale School of Architecture Dean’s Council and the board of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation. He also served as president and then chairman of The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, the nation’s leading resource for the classical tradition in architecture and the allied arts, for over a decade. His work has been featured in numerous national and international publication, including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Veranda, Town & Country, Vogue, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Gil regularly lectures around the country on the continued relevance of classical residential design, and when he’s not traveling for work, he divides his time with his family between New York City, the Hudson Valley, and Maine.
