The 33rd Annual Design Inspirations Fundraiser

2026 marks the 33rd year for Design Inspirations, a fundraiser supported jointly by volunteers from the Fort Worth Alumnae Associations of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi. Gill Children’s Services, Inc. and Educational First Steps have been chosen as this year’s charities.

The event itself features more than 60 elegantly designed tables, creatively designed by local designers and individuals. Seeing the tables and the amazing character of each one will inspire you to do more with your own beautiful things at home. Guests may view the tables at the Preview Party on Wednesday, March 4th or while enjoying a presentation from our keynote speaker and luncheon on Thursday, March 5th.

Design Inspirations is pleased to announce Amanda Lindroth as our 2026 speaker

Amanda's early career in fashion brought her to New York where she worked for W Magazine and Women’s Wear Daily as a reporter, and later to Europe where she worked as the UK PR Director at Gucci during its renaissance in the 1990s. After relocating to the Bahamas, Amanda began decorating for both commercial projects and private homes. Each of her projects embody the spirit of island living paired with a deep respect for classical design and architecture.

Since its founding in Nassau, Bahamas in 2010, Lindroth Design has become the go-to firm for airy, relaxed design and casual elegance for island dwellers those seeking to imbue a breezy sophistication into their home. Today, the firm has offices in the Bahamas, Palm Beach and Charleston, South Carolina.

In the fall of 2018, Amanda's first book, Island Hopping, was published by Vendome and features twenty five of her most prominent projects to date, including The Dunmore hotel on Harbour Island and a family cabin on Great Cranberry Island in Maine. Her second book, Island Dreaming, released by Vendome in October 2024 and features twenty new projects - from a grand San Francisco home to a Fifth Avenue apartment, along with plenty of island cottages that epitomize her relaxed island living aesthetic.

Amanda has a design course with the prestigious Create Academy titled “Design Interiors for Entertaining,” and her work has been featured on the covers and in the pages of the most prominent shelter and lifestyle publications and digital media outlets in the US and abroad. She has just completed The Dunlin, Auberge Resorts Collection in South Carolina’s lowcountry, along with the restoration of an iconic Eleuthera hideaway called The Potlatch Club.
