Design Inspirations is pleased to announce Cathy Kincaid as our 2027 speaker

Cathy’s design career has deep roots in Fort Worth, where she earned her bachelor’s degree at TCU before continuing her training at the design firm Minton & Corley. In 1978, she established Cathy Kincaid Interiors, Ltd. in Dallas. Known for her exquisite color palettes, thoughtful attention to detail, and timeless style, Cathy creates inviting interiors that reflect the lives and collections of the people who call them home.

Her designs pair antiques and personal treasures with beautiful textiles, custom finishes, and exceptional craftsmanship. From hand-painted trelliswork to lacquered surfaces and bespoke dressmaker details, Cathy’s collaborations with talented artisans bring individuality and warmth to every room. Her work has appeared in the pages of House Beautiful, Flower, Milieu, Veranda, and Southern Home, among other publications.

Cathy’s first book, The Well-Adorned Home, offers a glimpse into her richly layered interiors. Her second book, Memorable Rooms: Artisanal Collaborations, explores the creative partnerships behind her distinctive style, with insights from collaborators including de Gournay, Leontine Linens, and textile designer Lisa Fine.

Featuring homes from a cozy Sun Valley ski retreat to a chic New York City penthouse, a breezy East Hampton escape, a charming Charlotte home, and an elegant Boston townhouse, Memorable Rooms shares Cathy’s approach to color, materials, textiles, and accessories. Join us for an inspiring presentation celebrating the thoughtful details and personal touches that make a home unforgettable.
